Saturday’s Book: “We Don’t Eat Our Classmates” by Higgins

One of a kind!

I do miss having children to read such books with…

At least I can share this with those of you who might share it with some youngster out there! The topic of a child who feels or is perceived as being different is so relevant!

  1. I watched this with my nine year old daughter and i’m not sure who enjoyed it more: me or her! Suffice it to say, the child whose social skills are in need of fine-tuning touches a chord for me (as it probably does with most parent or teacher)

  2. I enjoyed watching this. The story is so cute and I can see why this could be helpful for kids struggling with social skills. Sometimes we don’t “get it” until we experience it ourselves, and that experience is often one that stays with us, just like Penelope getting her finger bitten by the fish. Thank you for sharing this story!
