What a wonderful book! I enjoyed every minute of it, from the very first page!

This is not a Grisham thriller, but rather a tale which I understand to be based on his own childhood. A tale told through a child’s eyes, in poor rural Arkansas of the 1950s.

But Grisham is Grisham, so the characters are so very real, the scenery so vivid and the plot becomes gripping. A perfect choice for a vacation because I had trouble putting it down!
